Biology:

The study of living things and non things is called Biology. 

Biology is divided into two parts:      

 (1) zoology.

 ( 2) Botany.                                  

Zoology :                                        

 Definition.: Zoo means animals  logy  means study.                    

It is the branch of biology in which we study about animals is called zoology.    

                    

Botany: 

Definition: It is  the branch of biology in which we study about plants is called botany. All herbs  Father of botany is Theophrastus.

(1) cytology: It is the branch of biology in which we study about cell and their organelles. cytology is also called cell biology.                

 Ribosomes: synthesis of proteins.   

Mitochondria: perform cellular respiration.  

Chloroplast:  perform photosynthesis.                                     

(2) Histology:

  Histo means(tissues) logy means (study). It is the branch of biology in which we study about tissues is called histology.                                                                                                                    

(3)Morphology: 

It is the branch of biology in which we study about structure or forms of living organisms is called morphology.                                      

  Two types of morphology:

 (a) Internal morphology: it is the branch of biology in which we study about internal structure of living organisms is called internal morphology.It is also called anatomy.                                            

(b) External morphology : It is the branch of biology in which we study about external structure of living organisms is called external morphology.  

 (4)Geography:

 It is the branch of biology in which we study about the distribution of living organisms on earth 🌎 is called geography .  Geo means Earth.graphy means distribution . 

 

Two types of Geography.                          

  (a)Zoography: distribution of animals.         

(b) Photography: distribution of plants.          

(5) Ecology:

It is the branch of biology in which we study about the environmental relations with living organisms is called ecology.  The study of ecology is also called environmental biology.

physiology:It is the branch of biology in which we study about normal functional.physis means Nature.                                      

(6) Embryology:  (Embryon means unborn)It is the branch of biology in which we study about development change.                                                                                                           

(7) Anatomy :(Ana means UpToTome means cutting).It is the branch of biology in which we study about internal structure.       

 (8) Genetics: It is the branch of biology in which we study about inheritance and variation.                                                            

 (9) Evolution: It is the branch of biology in which we study about changing in heritable character.
