Full wave rectifier:working principle of full wave rectifier:(B)

Full wave rectifier:

As we know that about rectifier  in this type we study about full rectifier.why we used full rectifier because we need not power loss i  mean getting smooth dc waves and steady supply. for in this case full wave rectifier. from this we we got a lot of advantages.

WORKING PRINCIPLE OF FULL WAVe Rectifier:

IST step: first half cycle M is + ve and N is -ve have X1 is in rectifier: current flow in direction forward biased and M,N,O,P, X2 increase.

2ND STEP: For second half cycle M is -ve  and N +ve X2 is forward biased and D1 is reverse biased ..". Current has routs N X2 G-H-C In both cases current flow from G to B increase this unidirectional.

Advantages of full wave rectifier:

(1)Full wave rectifiers have a rectification efficiency that is double that of half wave rectifiers. Half wave rectifiers have an efficiency of 40.6%, while full wave rectifiers have an efficiency of 81.2%.

(2) Because full wave rectifiers have a low ripple factor, a straightforward filter is required. Full wave rectifiers have a ripple factor of 0.482, while half wave rectifiers have a ripple factor of about 1.21.

(3) Full wave rectifiers produce a higher output voltage and power than half wave rectifiers do.

Disadvantages of full wave rectifier:

The big disadvantages which are need more circuit elements to for complete half wave rectifier that is because costly very high for example capacitor etc.

Peak inverse Voltage:

The maximum voltage that a diode can withstand in the reverse-biased direction before breaking down is known as the peak inverse voltage. The full-wave rectifier has twice the peak inverse voltage of a half-wave rectifier. The PIV beyond M1 and 2 is NVmax.

DC Output Voltage Full Wave Rectifier:

The full-wave rectifier passes together half-cycles of the given input waveform. Thus the average voltage output will therefore be: 0.637VMAX

RMS value of current in full wave rectifier:

In full wave rectifier  rms value is provided by the value of the peak voltage divided by $\sqrt 2 $.  wherever of a full wave rectifier, the peak value of the sine wave still remains the same. therefore  rms value is the identical  as the rms value of the sinusoidal input.

Efficiency of full wave rectifier:

In full wave rectifier the ratio of DC output power to the AC input power. The rectifier efficiency of a full-wave rectifier is 81.2%.
